Who is your targeted audience?

Our core competency has always been Small to Mid Size Businesses and the personal web hosting. We have expanded our product lines to include Windows, Dedicated servers and Virtual Servers to increase our capabilities to service larger businesses and busier web sites.

Where do you see your company two years from now?

Two years from now I believe that iPowerWeb will continue to have the # 1 purchased web hosting plan in the world and we will have gone from the 5th largest web host in the world to the world’s largest paid web hosting provider.

What significant changes have you seen in the web hosting marketplace over the last 12 months?

Within the last 12 months the market has seen a majority of new and existing providers increasing their offers to seem more attractive to the marketplace. You can now find several web hosting providers who offer 1 gig of space or more. Still these providers are targeting the small to mid size market, most of which will never come close to their limits.

How did you come to choose your company name?

Our company name developed from our idea to provide a powerful easy to use solution for web hosting to people looking to get online. We developed our core Unix Hosting product to be easy enough for Novices to understand and use, while powerful enough for even the most expert and web savvy webmaster.

What advice do you have for someone who is just starting a hosting company?

At this juncture the web hosting market is very competitive. For someone looking to start their own hosting business I would recommend partnering with a hosting provider ( like we allow through our Reseller Program ) and I would suggest to that person that they may want to start to build their customer base locally, through small to mid size businesses. If they are successful, they may try to broaden their marketing efforts including online search engine marketing.

In the next five years, where do you see the web hosting industry taking us?

For the next five years there should be continued growth in the amount of people who are going online as well as growth in businesses developing an internet presence.

How do you walk the fine line between growing to meet the anticipated needs of new customers and growing too quickly?

In order to grow responsibly, a web hosting company must reinvest in their services and capabilities and not look towards extracting profits from the company coffers. IPowerWeb has embraced the mentality of being responsible to our members. We have continued to reinvest in our staff, our hardware and our corporate training.

We offer a powerful easy to use hosting plan, terrific 24/7 customer support staff and we exceed the 99.9% uptime.

How has your company kept up with changing technology?

We continue to keep our finger on the pulse of new technologies by studying any significant changes, understanding those changes and training our staff to be as up to date with any new technical directions.

How are your services and pricing levels better than those of your competitors?

There are some providers who may have a lower cost or other providers who offer more space, but the reality is that iPowerWeb’s package is large enough to host 95% of the world’s web sites, we have a great affordable rate, we beat the competition in the bells and whistles we add to our service and we have friendly & available service representatives in all of our departments.

Your Hosting Plans

What do your lower price point hosting solutions include and at what price?

Our lower price plans include everything you would need to get a web site up quickly & easily, establish a domain, get web mail, do e-commerce, market your web site, and much more.

What do your higher price point hosting solutions include and at what price?

Our higher priced solutions include very affordable Dedicated servers starting at $49. These servers provide the webmaster with complete control of the system.

Which services and features do you offer as part of your hosting agreement at no cost (i.e., free domain name registration, real-audio video server, Web statistics software, etc.)?

We offer free domain, free web builder, free marketing, free e-commerce, web stats, control panel, audio & video, scripts… in essence most everything that a web master would need.

If you offer user control panels, for which platform(s)? Briefly describe their functionality.

We developed our own vDeck control panel for our unix systems, we use plesk and c-Panel for our other hosting services..

Connectivity & Data Center Specs

How is your data center connected to the Internet, and what level of redundant connection does your organization have?

We have our servers at several secure locations in Los Angeles, CA. and Phoenix, AZ. These locations contain 24/7 system security, emergency backup, and system administration.

What types of servers do you use for your primary virtual NT hosting and primary virtual Unix hosting clients?

We use a mix of mostly HP & Dell servers.
