General Questions

Who is your targeted audience?

Catering to the small to medium sized business has always been our biggest strength. Personal Web sites also have a large percentage of our customer base.

Where do you see your company two years from now?

We see ourselves with continued linear growth, just as we have consistently accomplished for the last 3 years. We will continue to embrace new technologies as they become available and incorporate them into our existing service offerings.

What significant changes have you seen in the web hosting marketplace over the last 12 months?

There is an increased sense of competition in the marketplace, giving the customer more options, services and value for no significant increase in cost.

How did you come to choose your company name?

Easy CGI originally offered free perl scripts to the Web hosting community. Over time our business model evolved into to our current shared Web hosting service offerings, but the name stuck.

What advice do you have for someone who is just starting a hosting company?

Start as a reseller with a hosting provider you trust, and use local channels to get your name our to your target audience. Remember that customer service is your biggest ally. Your customers should always feel they are being taken care of.

In the next five years, where do you see the web hosting industry taking us?

We project that the shared hosting sector will continue to grow very rapidly for at least the next 5 years. Colocation remains a strong segment as well, but caters to a much smaller customer base. Over the last 12 months, we have seen a very large increase in our international customer base. I see this as a sign of great future growth for the global Internet.

How do you walk the fine line between growing to meet the anticipated needs of new customers and growing too quickly?

We take great care in maintaining the stability of our network. Over the last 3 years we have been able to successfully chart a growth path that allows us to take on an increasing customer base with no impact to our high quality of operations.

What are your company's three key success factors?

Our Control Panel offers our customer base the ability to manage all aspects of their account at their leisure, as well as interact with our tech support staff when necessary. The Easy CGI staff make our support among the best in the business. Our systems are monitored around the clock to ensure downtime is kept to an absolute minimum..

How has your company kept up with changing technology?

We continuous monitor the evolution of technology. As we see a need for upgrades and additions to our service, these new technologies are tested and implemented.

How are your services and pricing levels better than those of your competitors?

We recently upgraded our Bandwidth and Disk Space to be among the best in the industry. Our pricing for our service offerings is highly competitive.

Your Hosting Plans

What do your lower price point hosting solutions include and at what price?

Our Basic Hosting plan is $7.96/month and offers support for most scripting technologies including ASP, ASP.net, PHP, SSI and Perl. It allows supports MS Access databases as well as mySQL databases.

What do your higher price point hosting solutions include and at what price?

Our Intermediate Hosting ($15.96/month), and Advanced Hosting ($21.56/month) plans begin to add more advanced features like MS FrontPage, ColdFusion, Webtrends statistics reports, as well as support for MS SQL 2000 databases.

If you offer user control panels, for which platform(s)? Briefly describe their functionality.

Our custom developed Control Panel provides access and control to virtually every aspect of a customer’s hosting account. It is under continuous improvement, with new functionality added monthly.

Describe your back-up and emergency power systems.

Our facility is powered by a data center grade Liebert UPS system. A 500KW diesel generator ensures continuous power in the event of an outage.

Our servers are 100% Dell.
