Default Buying clients

What do you people think about hosting companies who buy clients?

Personally I think there is nothing wrong with it unless you have major downtime as a customer. And that the host lets me know before they do it.

Just a curios(sp?) question.

This is becoming a common pratice for hosting companies now.

As long as the new company is better, I don't see anything wrong with this.

The keyword was If the new hosting company is better

I think it is alright to sell customers. Good revenue and it keeps businesses in track with more clients, I think so anyways....

I think its fine. I had no problems when my host did it. So I wouldnt say no to it probably next time since I did some good research on my new host (hostgator).

Thats how I started out, I started buying clients, did this 4-5 times for smallish busiensses with around 10-50 clients, gradully built myself up until about 2-3 months ago I went all out to developing my website .

Nothing wrong with it, as long as they offer good support.

Yeah. But you have to make sure the new host gives good support and has good reliable servers... :S
