I tried installing a blog at my current host which doesn't have any auto installer.

Anyways, how do you install wordpress on a shared account ?

Any hosting company that are worth anything should have a control panel that will let you auto install a script like wordpress.

Lunarpages has cpanel with fantastico, I would give them a try
